Hey guys, a new year with a fresh start is always healthy so I’ve kept busy and creative lately in order to deliver a makeup look that I haven’t tried before.
Therefore, I was inspired by my friend’s marsala sweater and tried on some colors that I would normally not choose for winter makeup especially in january. But, because snow hasn’t showed up yet, I guess shades of chololate brown with shades of marsala red highlighted with icy shimmery white shadow made the perfect combo. Here are pictures of how this cocktail turned up. Enjoy!
A couple of days ago I had the opportunity to hold a makeup demo with the new makeup products from ARTISTRY, Pacific Lights Limited Edition Trend Collection. For the makeup demo I used the following new ARTISTRY COLOR products:
A while ago my first childhood friend, Tamara, asked me if I would do her bridal makeup on her wedding day. I felt so excited about her idea of “the look”. We both agreed that a retro look would definitely be perfect for her. She allowed me to share some pictures with her final look which I think turned out pretty awesome…retro wedding look I would say. Her idea of the bridal makeup was somewhat a 40’s-50’s style and I think we both loved the result.
For this makeup I used a black eyeliner, medium shade of liquid foundation medium shade (natural) from Artistry, medium light loose powder from Make-up Studio Romania, rose pink blush from Artistry, red lip liner from Show Makeup by Fabio Stefano, red lipstick from Artistry, white shimmer eye shadow on the lid, light brown shadow in the crease for the depth, light peach shade under the brow line, some fairy dust tapped on top for some light shimmery effect (it will look good in the pictures) and dark brown brow shadow to give a little thickness to the brow line. I hope you find this rejuvenating bridal look as inspiring as I did.
This is my friend on her wedding day! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Beautiful Retro Bride
Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful day! 🙂
Here is a collage made by C.P.Axenoi of the clips I have made during a foto session last week. The session is about the new JEWELand collection of handmade artwork. Cleopatra Cosulet is the artist behind the beautiful accessories presented by Oana.
If you’re here you certainly have dark hair and blue eyes, or maybe not. Either way, this look is intended to highlight blue eyes, especially if the hair is dark. I chose some purple and violet shades, a light pink shade for highlighting the brow bone, a pinkish mauve blush shade and a terracotta shade powder to contour her face. The black eye liner emphasizes the intense blue of her eyes and for a finished look, 3-4 coats of length or volumizing mascara ( separately or even used together). To conclude, I chose a natural rosy shade of lipstick and a coat of volumizing, translucid lip gloss.
I love Artistry makeup products as well as the cosmetic care products due to their luxurious texture, their innovative and creative ideas and remarkable performance in all of their broad pallet of products. I’ve been consuming Artistry for 15 years now, in daily skin care as well as make-up products and never have I felt the need to change any of those with other famous brands. I have “met” many brands along the way but I never got that same quality and outcome from any of them such as the Artistry skincare and make-up products. I will be doing more reviews soon.

For this character, I was inspired by the Mexican Dancers but tried to insert some new features into the whole character design such as bright yellow green face paint shadow. Thus, by using this colorful contrasting color I gave the traditional Mexican style a more vibrant and modern aspect overall. Applying soft make-up to balance the vibrant yellow green shadow, an inspired outfit from the Mexican dancers culture, some picture choreography and the beautiful outdoors can all contribute to a beautiful and dynamic imagery. Thanks to my beautiful talented sister, who really gave in to this photoshooting. This is the result of my Mexican Queen character.
